Happy New Year - It's going to be an exciting one!

2016 was a great year that ended in a flurry of activity here...we've never packed so speedily and are hugely grateful for the support and enthusiasm for what we do that has been shared with us in the last year.

Looking back on the last year there are a few things that stand out and will stay in our minds here at TD HQ for years to come. For me personally the discovery of a company who can help us create a fabric from our own waste is the most exciting thing (you can read more about that here) but other highlights include finding some gorgeous velvet to use in our winter collection and an exciting trip to Brighton as runners up in the Green Pea awards.

I have a feeling though that 2017 will be even more exciting as this spring we have two bits of news; one about a new location for TD HQ and one which I can't share quite yet (it involves raising money to help an endangered species); both are very exciting.

It's been over seven years since I made and sold the first few pairs of Turtle Doves gloves. They are now being sported all over the world from Australia to Kazakhstan and lots of other places besides. We have fun spotting the gloves, and the other goodies we make, on trips out in the UK and will be busy over the next few weeks designing more products to join the TD range. We are also working on a bag range from our new totally recycled fabric and hope to have something to show you within the next month...and the first batch of silk saris have arrived this week so we're looking forward to the creation of the next wonderfully colourful silk range which we plan to launch later in the spring. It's all go!

Whatever you are up to this January we wish you well and hope that it's a happy and healthy year for you and yours.

Warm wishes, Kate and the TD team xx

the cashmere bits and bobs fabric would make a fabulous throw, serape [no idea how you pronounce this, but they are very very useful in windy weather especially if going in and out of buildings as visiting for work meeting] Also perhaps a hood lined with silk or velvet? Waistcoat, ditto lined? Cushions? Nor sure whether this new fabric is as soft as normal cashmere, next to skin, or does it need a lining?

Really looking forward to the new silk range.
I’ve had so many compliments on the pieces I already own.
Keep up the good work.
